Reserves

If your professor has put a physical item "On Reserve" for your class, that means there is a book, journal article, video, or some form of material for you to use in the library. Bring your Dowling College ID to the Periodicals Window in Oakdale or the Circulation Desk in Brookhaven, and you can borrow these items for a specified period of time.

Electronic Reserves

An electronic reserve is something that can be accessed and read online. Electronic reserves are usually a scanned article or a direct link to an article in a library database. Electronic reserves are also listed in the Catalog. When the "Format" column reads *Electronic Copy Available*, simply click on the title and enter your name and barcode number as if you were logging into the library databases from off campus. You can then read or print the electronic reserve item.
