Dissertations & Theses

This document explains where Dissertations and Masters Theses are kept in the Dowling College Library and how to locate them. Theses can be submitted to anyone in the library and then given to the Technical Services Librarian.

EdD: Doctor of Education in Educational Administration

Where does it go?
Paper copy of dissertation is cataloged and stored offsite.
Microfiche copy is stored behind the Periodicals window.

How do I find it?
Call number search on Dissertation in the catalog. They can also be searched in the Dissertations at Dowling database. Note that online dissertations only go back to 2000.

How may I use it?
Dissertations may be printed from the microfiche copies or database.

MBA: Masters in Business Administration

Where does it go?
Thesis is cataloged and stored behind the Periodicals window.

How do I find it?
Call number search on MBA in the catalog. Holdings go back to 2003.

How may I use it?
Theses are library use only and may not be photocopied.

MALS: Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies

Where does it go?
Thesis is cataloged and stored behind the Periodicals window.

How do I find it?
Call number search on MALS in the catalog. Holdings go back to 2006.

How may I use it?
Theses are library use only and may not be photocopied.

Business Simulations

Are not kept in the library. Check with the School/Division department offices.

Educational Research Projects/Professional Papers

Are not kept in the library. Check with the School/Division department offices.

Independent Studies

Are not kept in the library. Check with the School/Division department offices.
