Research Loan Program
If you do not have enough time to wait for an interlibrary loan request, a reference librarian will be happy to help you identify what other library on Long Island might own a copy of the book or journal you need. With an RLP card, obtained at the Circulation Desk, you will be permitted to use and borrow materials from the specific RLP member library identified.
In order to receive this RLP card at the Circulation Desk, you will need to have your Dowling ID Card and no outstanding overdues in the library. When you borrow materials through the RLP program, you are responsible for returning any borrowed items to that library and for any fines incurred.
