Citing Your Resources

Doing ethical research means citing sources. It is critical to credit writers for their work and their contributions to your research. To not do so is unethical and leads to plagiarism - unintentionally or not. Here are some sources to help you cite properly and to avoid the problem of plagiarism.

Brief articles about the history of education and biographies of the people who helped shape it.

Guthrie, J.W. (Ed.). (2003). The encyclopedia of education. New York: Macmillan Reference USA.
This new edition of the 1971 classic includes biographical information about important educational thinkers as well as in-depth definitions of important topics and issues. Most entries include brief bibliographies for further research.
