This plaque reads:

ACKNOWLEDGED WITH APPRECIATION
Sunday, October 25, 1992
Dowling College Restoration Committee
and
Dowling College Friends of the Library
generously donated 20 pieces of historic art
to be hung throughout the Dowling campus
These original artworks were created
by residents of the famous
Idle Hour Artist’s Colony during the 1920s and
are an integral part of local history

Here is a list of the Idle Hour Artist Colony Artists in the collection of the Dowling College Library.

These works are on display in the Reference Room on the first floor of the Library.
