Jim Eder

Adjunct Instructor of Philosophy

Perring, Christian, and Virgina Walker. Remembering Jim Eder. Lion’s Voice September 2010.

Nicole Rienzie ?09 August 2011, 23:34

Last night I dreamt about Mr. Eder. Which led me to google him. Sadly, I learned the terrible news…..

He was my professor in 2001…it was only days after 9/11….we spoke about the tragedy..about life, death, hate, love. He was my philosophy teacher, my ethics teacher, my life coach. He shared with his class, from his heart and I couldnt help but feel drawn to him. Im shocked that he’s gone and couldnt help but shed tears over this sad, sad news…the world is missing an incredible person. I feel privileged to have known him and to have had the opportunity to be his student. May his light continue to shine through all whose lives were touched by him.

Thanks for the memories, for sharing your story and for teaching with compassion, passion and FUN! Im always going to remember your smile and our chats in the cafe.

“People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die.” Plato Thank you James Eder for helping me GROW!

RIP Your Student, Nicole Rienzie

I hope he and his daughter are reunited and sharing hugs!! My most sincere condolences to all his family, friends & former students.
